Keeping in mind the convenience of the people, the traffic police has informed that now you can deposit the amount of challan sitting at home through e-challan, for this you do not need to go to any office of traffic police.
Even if you have deleted the challan that came by SMS or email, you can still deposit the challan amount with the help of this website. Online challan payment facility by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and NIC. Through this, you can pay traffic challan sitting at home. How to Check e-challan online
Step 1: First of all you go to the website of Transport Department. You can also click on this link: echallan.parivahan.gov.in
Step 2: After this, you click on the Check Challan States tab.
Step 3: On this page there is an option of train number, challan number and DL number. You can see the details of your challan on the screen by selecting either the train number or the challan number.
Step 4: If your car is not challaned then you will not see anything on this page. You can also see here how many times your vehicle has been invoiced.
Step 5: After entering the vehicle number or challan number, you will see all the challans issued for your vehicle here.
How to make e-challan payment online
Step 1: For this, first you have to go to E-Challan – Digital Traffic / Transport Enforcement solution website at https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in. It is One Nation One Challan Initiative. On this page, you have to click on “Check Challan Status”.
Step 2: You can search the challan with license number, vehicle number and challan number. After this you have to fill the captcha words online.
Step 3: After filling these three details, you will start seeing Chalana details online. Sometimes two separate challans are also issued, these are separated through license number vehicle number.
Step 4: After the challan details are generated, you have to click on ‘Pay Now’, where you can make the payment online. To initiate the transaction, you will have to verify your mobile number through OTP.
Step 5: When the payment is successful, you will see a page of payment confirmation. Here you can choose the payment option as per your convenience. You will also get net banking, card payment and other payment modes.

– Here first click on the check Challan Status given in the site.
After this, you will see 3 option invoice number, vehicle number, DL number, from which you have to click on the vehicle number.
– Enter your car number here.
After this, enter captcha code and click on Get Detail.
– By doing this, you will know whether there is a challan in your car or not.
