Step 1: Show input operations on the shelf
Well, to show input operations on the shelf, you don’t need to install any kind of extensions. All you need to do is tap on your avatar which is placed on the right corner in the bottom of the Chrome OS. After that, click on the ‘gear icon’ and this takes you to the ‘Settings’ menu. Scroll down to the bottom of this Settings menu and then select ‘Advanced’ section. Click on ‘Language & Input’ section now and then option the ‘Input Method’ section. And now enable the ‘Show input options on the shelf’.
Step 2: Launch the virtual keyboard
Now that you have successfully toggled on the input methods icon on the shelf of your Chromebook open it by clicking on it. A pop-up dialogue will now appear on your screen, and it will show you the different methods by which you can input text on your Chromebook. One of the many displayed ways is the option of emojis. To open the emoji keyboard, click on the ‘Smiley’ icon. The bottom of your keyboard will now be filled with emojis. Click on a ‘text field on-screen’, and then you can choose your emoji by clicking on it.
Step 3: Find your emoji
Sometimes, you might not be immediately able to see the emojis in your virtual keyboard. If you use an Android smartphone, you must be familiar with this. Well, there is nothing to worry about. It is because the emoji section is hidden.
